Rega Ania MC Cartridge
The Rega Ania MC cartridge was made possible by the success of the Apheta and Aphelion MC models. The same micro coil as in the large models is also installed in the Rega Ania, the high-strength PPS housing and the precise design are no coincidence. The 3-point mounts, in conjunction with a Rega tonearm, adjust the overhang perfectly. On other tonearms, this must of course be adjusted, as only the usual half-inch 2-point mount is possible here.
The super-strong neodymium magnet drive and a coil that was carefully wound by hand on an iron micro cross ensure the best possible transfer of the needle movement into the necessary current. The coil wires, which are only 0.018 mm fine (very clearly visible through the transparent housing), enable one of the smallest MC generators.
This weight reduction of the Rega Ania pickup allows the finest tracking of the record groove. A good MC phono preamplifier should be seen as the benchmark.
