Ortofon LH 8000 Headshell Ursushi Lacquer
The Ortofon Headshell LH 8000 made of Japanese oak with SME-compatible recording is a perfect high-end headshell for demanding record lovers. The straight front end of the headshell, the minimalist design and the excellent quality from Ortofon are fun and are the best choice in terms of sound.
The headshell is sealed with Urushi lacquer. This lacquer goes back up to 6,000 years and is obtained from the East Asian lacquer tree. The difficult thing about this seal is that each layer has to cure in a completely dust-free environment, with high humidity and just under 30 degrees. Only through this procedure is it possible to achieve a transparent, high-density seal. Of course, this has the function of enabling a long-lasting, stable wooden structure, while at the same time the headshell becomes very stable and has a long shelf life.
The possibility of adjusting the azimuth is logical and sensible in this price range
The included polished finger bracket can, but does not have to be, installed. Depending on what you're used to. Personally, I can get by without a finger stirrup.
